Overview
The Africa Regional Council of Women is a Non-Governmental, non-partisan, women’s Organization founded to promote the rights of women, girls and the vulnerable in Africa.
Providing credible platforms for ventilating gender issues. The body was recently launched and it is well recognized by the International Council for Women (ICW).
Our Mission
The mission of the ARCW is to unite National Councils of women’s non-governmental organizations from all parts of Africa for action to improve the status of women and the well-being of the continent.
Our Objectives
The objectives of the ARCW are:
- To promote equal rights and responsibilities and equality of opportunity for all people.
- To work for peace in all spheres of life
- To support Human Rights and the elimination of all forms of discrimination
- To encourage sustainable development
- To work for leadership development among women
- To facilitate communication and networking world-wide.
